    Kimball City Council has another year to decide how best to use the funds received through the Civic and Community Center Financing Fund. On Tuesday, May 16, Kimball City Council authorized Mayor Keith Prunty to sign an amendment to the contract that was granted by the State of Nebraska Department of Economic Development in 2014.     The Kimball High School will soon receive a facelift, in the form of new windows that will be installed in eight east and west classrooms this summer. Superintendent of Kimball Schools, Marshall Lewis, discussed the capital improvement project with the Kimball Board of Education at their regular meeting on Thursday, May 11.     Kimball County residents are now able to get discount prescriptions, medical, vision and dental services through the Live Healthy: U.S. Counties Program. The program, offered through the National Association of Counties (NACo), is free to residents of NACo member counties such as Kimball, and everyone is accepted. Olsen Memorial, are pleased to bring the Portable Planetarium to Kimball youth. “This is really neat and something that Grace would have approved,” Liesch said.     The Kimball Boy's golf team captured the team title in winning the SPVA Conference championship in their latest conquest of an undefeated season to date. The Longhorns shot a solid round of 308 for the win with Perkins County runnerup with 324, followed by St. Pats with 330, Sutherland 379 and Hershey 386. Jarrod Williams will begin classes in the 2017-18 school year as the new Computer and Business Technology teacher at both Mary Lynch Elementary, as well as the High School.
