The story of two Air Force airmen who helped fight a fire that forced a Dix family from its home last Thursday night has spread far and wide on traditional and social media. Kimball police officers and a Kimball County sheriff’s deputy initiated a traffic stop Sept. 7 on a vehicle in the 300 block of South Chestnut Street for failing to utilize its turn signal. After officers made contact with the driver, they said they requested and received consent to search the vehicle. A pat search of the driver revealed an item of drug paraphernalia on their person.
