    Payton Wise had a very good showing at the recent Kearney Junior Classic Golf Tournament held at the Meadowlark Hills Golf Course. Competing in the age 14-15 girl’s division the young Kimball standout finished 2nd with her round of 93 and 85 in the two day event for a 178 total.     The father-son team of Greg Robinson, Tony and Michael took top honors at this year’s Father’s Day Golf Tournament hosted by the Kimball Thursday Night Men’s Golf League, shooting two day rounds of 59-58=117 to hold off the defending champion father-son team of Kenny Greenwood and sons Jeff and Jordan who also shot 59 on the first day but slipped to a 61 on day two for a 120 total.     The Four Winds Golf Course will come alive this weekend with the holding of the annual Father’s Day Golf Tournament hosted by the Thursday Night Men’s Golf League. This is one of the favorite events each year held at the Four Winds with lots of family get togethers to make up the 3-person scramble teams, along with many friends returning to Kimball to participate.     Kimball High grad Zane Anthony made sure he closed out his High School football career in fine fashion with an outstanding performance in helping his West Team win over the East Team, 6-0, Saturday night at the Scottsbluff Bearcat Stadium. Anthony started on offense for the West Team as a wideout receiver, and also played a role as a defensive specialist on kick off situations.     Kimball High grads of the 2019 class were preforming again this past weekend in All Star events. Kate Reader and Izaac Reuter played in the select Mid Plains Area All Star Basketball games held Saturday evening at the College in North Platte. Kate was on the winning Black team that won over the Gold team 65-37 and contribute nine points along with playing an overall good game with her rebounds, defense and assists.     It was an All Star Basketball night this past Saturday at Cougar palace in Scottsbluff with the staging of the 2019 Panhandle Prep All Star Basketball games featuring both girls and boys of Western Nebraska and Eastern Wyoming with even a South Dakota young man included. Kimball High was represented by Kate Reader and Izaac Reuter, they both played like All Stars with Reader scoring in double figures with 11 points including four field goals and three for four free thow shooting.     The 2019 Nebraska State Track Meet is in the books, and we have local athletes who not only wrote their names into the State books, but also into their own school record books as well.     The Kimball High Boy's Golf Team took care of business one more time in winning their fourth straight District Championship Monday at the Cross Creek Golf Link in Cambridge. The three senior varsity golfers on the team have been a part of those four District titles and all three seniors were in the top ten medal group on Monday.     The Kimball junior high tracksters took part in the Pine Bluffs Invitational this past Friday and turned in some good efforts. No team scores were available, but both the boys and girls had some good individual efforts.
