    All doubt has vanished in regards to questioning if Kimball's Mike Daum could play Division One Men's Basketball.     The weekend us indoor sports fans have been waiting for has arrived as the High School Winter Sports get underway this very weekend. It actually starts tonight (Thursday) with the Kimball High Wrestlers hosting Bayard on the Kimball High home mats with action to begin at 6 p.m. The wrestlers then get one day of before they head to Akron, Colorado for Tournament action this Saturday (Dec. 5).     The 2015 Kimball High Volleyball Season will go into the books as one of the most successful in the history of the sport for the Lady Longhorns with an overall win-loss record of 17-10. The junior varsity finished 9-6 and the freshman team was 4-5. It was a very enjoyable season for first year head coach Jeri Ferguson who expressed that sentiment.     It was a bountiful year for Kimball area deer hunters with a grand total of 226 deer checked in at the Sportsman's Liquor check-in location. According to Lissa Wangler, owner of Sportsman's Liquor, they checked in 200 mule deer and 26 white tail with 165 bucks and 61 does. "We didn't have as many out of state hunters checkin animals this year but still there were some from California, South Carolina, Iowa, and Colorado along with our Nebraska license holders," Wangler said.     Despite the 1 win-8 loss season for the Kimball High Football Team, there was good effort, good attitude, and progress of the younger players, leaving a positive outlook for next year. The season got off to a shaky beginning as coach Nick Kuxhausen and his staff saw the top two running backs in Jaden Withrow and Logan Stahla go down with injuries.
