    The highlight of the Bayard B-C-D Track Invite for Kimball High was the win in the pole vault by Ali Hunsaker who had a career best winning height of 9'0" which also improved on her own Kimball High School record after setting the mark at 8'8" just a week ago!     Fueled by Brady Kilgore’s two meet record wins in the hurdles, the Kimball 8th grade boys track team emerged as team champions at the South Platte Valley Athletic Conference Junior High Track meet held at Imperial this past week. The Kimball boys scored 115 point to win the team title easily with Hershey a distant runnerup with 81 followed by Sutherland with 76.5, Chase County 66, Perkins County 59, North Platte St Pats 53.5, and Bridgeport 14.     What a weekend for the Kimball High Boys Golf Team and especially for sophomore Jordan Greenwood. Greenwood won back-to-back conference medalist titles on back-to-back days of competition and also shot his career low round of golf in winning the Western Trails Conference individual championship.     Kimball High sophomore Jaden Withrow proved he was the Best in the West at the Best in the West Classic Track and Field Meet held at Scottsbluff Bearcat Stadium this past week, winning the triple jump with a hop-skip-jump of 42'2.5." He didn't waste any time as all of the 8 contestants were allowed only 4 jumps each and Jaden sailed out on his winning jump on his first attempt.     Madison Biesecker and Ryan Muneio emerged as SPVA Conference champions for Kimball at the conference track and field meet held at Hershey this past Friday. Muneio got his gold medal winning the boys 400 meters with his personal best time of 51.90. He had a good day as he also ran 4th in the 800 in 2:06.70 and ran a leg on the 4x100 relay that finished 3rd in 45.60.     Kimball won the boys division of the Pine Bluffs Junior High Track and Field Invite this past week amassing 144 points to run away with the team championship. Burns was a distant runnerup in the 13 school field. Bayard won the girls division with 115 points holding off Southeast who finished second with 106.     The Kimball High Boys Golf Team shot their low team round of the season to finish third at the Morrill Tournament this past week. Bridgeport won the team title with 353 strokes followed by Chadron with 362, Kimball 376, Crawford 393, Gordon-Rushville 401, Hemingford 429, Gering JV 456, Mitchell 459, and Morrill 469.     With near perfect weather conditions at the George Calvert Invitational Track and Field Meet in Morrill this past Friday, the athletes responded with no less than 10 new meet records, including 6 in the girls division and 4 in the boys division.     A late afternoon lightning storm cancelled out the final events of the day at the Kimball Junior High Track and Field Invite this past week, but most of the events went off as scheduled with good weather conditions. Those events not held were the boys 200 meter dash, the 800 meter run for all divisions, and all of the relays.     The Kimball High boys golf team got two tournaments in this past week but weather caused the Bridgeport Tournament to be called off with no new reschedule date as of yet.     Mitchell ran away with all of the team honors at Tuesday's Western Trails Conference Track and Field Meet with both the boys and girls winning team titles. Mitchell's Drew Gilliland was voted Outstanding Male Athlete on the day while Bayard's Jessi Smith won the same honor for the girls.
