Chase County emerged as champions of the SPVA Conference Volleyball Tournament held at Sutherland this past Saturday. Kimball High senior Jaycie Walker closed out her high school golf career at the Nebraska state Class C state Tournament held at the Quail Run Golf Course in Columbus this past Monday-Tuesday and although she didn’t finish in the top 15 medal group, she can feel proud of her accomplishments this year. Kimball's Bruce Gilliland was inducted into the Nebraska Golf Hall of Fame this past Monday evening in ceremonies held at the Country Club of Lincoln in Lincoln, Nebraska. Bruce, who turned age 97 just three days earlier, was not up to making the trip but was represented by his wife Wilma and son Steven who accepted the honor in his behalf.
