    The Kimball School Board met in special session on Monday Feb. 21, to listen to the final presentation from president Jacob Hurla of Community Building Solutions. After the presentation, the board unanimously approved a $2.8 million improvement package for the Jr./Sr. High and Mary Lynch schools. The improvements will replace heating units and add cooling capacity to both facilities, as well as air purification units.     Clean Harbors submitted the winning bid of $1,000 to purchase two lots combined (Parcels 530018519 and 530018527) across from the Kimball County Manor at the most recent Kimball City Council meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 15. The Clean Harbors proposal would “develop much needed multi-unit housing to support our need to attract 100 new workers to Kimball in 2023 and 2024.” The Clean Harbors proposal is for an 8-unit, 7,000-square-foot multifamily building with units of 2 bedrooms, 2 baths of approximately 875 square foot each. South Platte Natural Resource General Manager Galen Wittrock introduced the Oliver Reservoir Advisory Committee and then talked budget. Visitation will be held at Cantrell Funeral Home on Thursday, February 24 from 1:00 until 6:00 p.m. His funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, February 25, at Kimball's Presbyterian Church with Pastor Alan Foutz officiating.     The Kimball County Commissioners on Tuesday, Feb. 15, ratified the date for the hearing of the One and Six Year Road Improvement Plan. This public hearing is held to receive public input and comment on the plan. The hearing will be at March 1. The board also ratified terms for the bids for chip sealing 6.1 miles of asphalt roads.     Four Kimball Longhorns completed their seasons at state wrestling on Friday. Three out of the four Longhorns secured wins at the state tournament.
