As the new Kimball Wind Farm nears completion, the Board of Public Works reviewed a land lease contract for the wind farm substation, to be placed adjacent to the City of Kimball’s south substation. Kimball Mayor, Keith Prunty, appointed Annette Brower to the position of City Treasurer, and council approved the appointment at a special meeting on Monday, March 5, at noon. Brower is expected to assumer her new role on March 26, and she brings several years of experience to the position, according to a news release from the City of Kimball. Donkey Ball was a real kick in the pants, fun for all ages with Donkey Rides at half-time for the younger kids, and the contagious laughter that filled the Kimball High School gym. 631 tickets were sold with 437 of those being pre-sale tickets, and not included in the total amount were, of course, all the little ones who were not charged to get it. Adam Bohac was a stand-out athlete and student a few years back for Kimball High School, and then went on to play his college basketball for the University of Nebraska, where he won more honors and was thought highly of by his coaches and fellow teammates. Kimball’s Mike Daum continues to reap honors as he leads his South Dakota State Jackrabbits to victories, including, winning the Summit Conference regular season outright. His individual honors are amazing, but us fans are becoming accustomed to reading and hearing about all of his many accomplishments.
