Seventh-grader Breckyn Kiefer crushed her own pole vault height at Best of the West last week. As the only seventh-grader competing against eighth-graders, Breckyn tied for second place with a vault of 7 feet, 6 inches, in the prestigious meet. Longhorns golfer Kyler Lusche had a good week on the links last week, rounding into form before this week’s play at Four Winds Golf Course here in Kimball. Lusche won the SPVA Golf Tournament at Sutherland, shooting 75, after carding an even par 72 that earned him second at the Scottsbluff Invite.
