A Mother’s Day accident northwest of Kimball sent two Kimball men to area hospitals. The accident, involving just one vehicle, occurred at approximately 9 p.m., according to Kimball County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Travis Terrill. The Kimball High golf team could sing "We are the Champions," all the long way home from Valentine Tuesday evening after destroying the rest of the field at the Class C District Tournament being held at the prestigious Prairie Club's Pine Course. The 2016 High School sports season is winding down. The Nebraska State Track and Field Championships are this weekend in Omaha at Burke Stadium tomorrow and Saturday. The District Golf was held at Valentine this past Tuesday and the State Golf for Class C is this coming week on May 25-26 at the Kearney Country Club Course. We do have some baseball/ softball starting up but I have not been able to round up a schedule on the newly formed Legion Team as of yet. One more tournament, one more win, and one more Conference Title for the Kimball High Golf Team as they captured the SPVA Tournament held at Sutherland this past week. This makes them dual conference champions this season as they won the Western Trails Conference earlier in the season.
