Information was released Tuesday during the correspondence segment at the regular Kimball County Commissioners meeting that Tall Grass is proposing switching their pipeline from natural gas to CO2. The Tall Grass pipeline runs in the southern portion of Kimball County. They anticipate pushing CO2 to the west. The approval must come from the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. Sonja C. Armstrong passed away on May 7, 2022 at Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital in Grass Valley, California. She was 80 years old at the time of her death. Sonja is survived by her daughter Julie Armstrong-Burkhart, her son, Arthur Armstrong Jr., and her ex-husband, Arthur Armstrong. Sonja was born on November 2, 1941 to Estelle and Wallace Peterson in Cheyenne, Wyoming. She moved with her family to San Mateo, California at an early age. Father's Day Classic chairman Randy Bohac said, "It was a fabulous weekend." The field of golfers at Four Winds ranged from 8-year-old Graham Braash to two men in their mid-80s. Kimball Women’s Golf has started its season, and three weeks of golf have been played, with June 15 the fourth week. President of the league, Charlotta Young, has been instrumental in acquiring additional teams and many subs. Twelve teams now play on Wednesday evenings, so there will be 12 weeks of women’s golf along with the horse race and battle of the sexes.
