    The fourth annual Potter Car Bowl, scheduled for June 30, will feature new events and added activities for crowd favorites. New this year is the Pine Wood Derby. According to organizer Drew Enevoldsen, Cub Scout Troop 105 was recently organized and will be participating in their first derby at home. This derby will not be just for kids, but also past scouts and adults interested in competing.     9 years ago, the Kimball FFA Chapter was chartered. In that time, the chapter has had many accomplishments with several students and alumni receiving their state and American degrees. In addition to celebrating this milestone, Kimball’s chapter also boasts the oldest alumni group in the state and members continue to provide the chapter with support today in various ways.     Carol Baldwin, 78, passed away June 23, 2018. Carol was born December 6, 1939 to Flora and Henry Pence. Carol married Lowell, May 4, 1957 and has lived in the Fort Lupton area since 1976. She helped operate Baldwin Pump & Supply in Fort Lupton for many years. She enjoyed helping her husband with working on his strip racing cars. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 2, 2018 at the First English Lutheran Church in Kimball with Pastor Caryl Miller officiating. Inurnment will be held at a later date.     Kimball County Highway Department's own, Randy Bymer, is finally a certified Bridge Inspector Team Leader after a long process that began in 2013. Bymer needed five years of field work training, followed by online courses, and a full two-week course in Lincoln for the National Highway Institute for Safety Inspection for In Service Bridges (NHI), which he completed in April of this year.     Kimball had 4 young golfers participate in the recent Kearney Junior Classic Golf Tournament with the sister-brother duo of Payton and Dillon Wise bringing home trophies for their play. Payton Wise, competing in the girls' 13-15 age group, won top honors with her rounds of 95-89 in the two-day event for a total of 184.
