According to Aaron Cook, branch manager in Kimball, the company purchased three Challenger Industries locales, including one in Sterling, Colo., one in Cheyenne, Wyo., and Kimball.     As the City of Kimball begins to send out letters regarding dead and overgrown trees, the South Platte Natural Resources District offers some assistance through the Community Forestry Program. Kimball residents are encouraged to apply for cost-sharing funds through the City of Kimball.     I hope everybody had a Happy 4th of July and now it is back to work, or whatever. I ate way too much good food, watched the fireworks the Kimball Fire Department put on, played a round of golf with my grandson, and otherwise took it easy. Not a lot of sports taking place right now, but the parking lot at the Four Winds Golf Course was full of out-of-town and out-of-state license plates the entire weekend.
