    According to an arrest affidavit from the Kimball Police Department on Monday, Aug. 13, at approximately 5:17, Officer Henderson Bryson of the KPD was notified by Chief Andy Bremer, that Wayne L. Schmidt had been living here in Kimball for longer than three days without registering as a sex offender. Schmidt, 37, was approached by Bremer and Bryson at 800 East 6th Street.     Curt was born Curtis Lee Cornils on July 29, 1953 in Kimball, Nebraska. He was the third child of five children born to Venette and Roy Cornils. He lived south of Bushnell, NE and enjoyed working on the farm until he left for college.     Kimball’s Veteran’s Memorial dedication will take place on Monday, August 27 at 5 p.m. in Gotte Park. The dedication will include an opening prayer and speakers, including Kimball Mayor Keith Prunty, United State Air Force Lieutenant Colonel George L. “Ripper” Chapman, Commander of the 320th Missile Squadron stationed at Francis E.
