Farmer’s Day is a celebration of the community that is anticipated throughout the year. This year Farmer’s Day will be held September 26, 27 and 28. Farmer’s Day may only happen over a three-day span, but it takes much longer to prepare for the events that the community looks forward to every year. Tim L. Wheelock, age 49 of Potter, passed away in his home Tuesday morning, August 19, 2014. Cremation has taken place. Jackson Earl Winters, Jr., 73, passed away July 20, 2013. Jack was born in Bloomington, IN and served in the Vietnam War; his final duty station was Fort Irwin California. Jack was an over the road truck driver for most of his life. He is survived by several children, Dwight Winters of Cabin Creek, CO, April Winters of Wiggins, CO and others.
