    The day began like a normal harvest day for the Wasielewski family. The farm family has always worked together to harvest their own wheat.     U.S. Rep. Adrian Smith, R-Neb., attended the annual meeting this month for the Heartland Expressway at Windbreak Bar and Grill in Kimball.   • Kimball Area Recylcling Gets Boost From State

    Kimball has received a $10,212 slice of Nebraska's funding pie for recycling and waste reduction. The grant money will go to the "Keep Kimball Beautiful" campaign. Some funds will be for increasing recycling by providing collection services to rural residents and business. Other money will be for residential alley recycling collection and recycling trailers for local towns and events.     Della Mae Mader was born in Kimball, NE, June 19, 1934, to John and Helen Adels. She attended high school in Limon, NE, graduating in 1952. After graduation, she moved back to Kimball. Della Mae worked at the Kimball County Hospital when it was newly built. She worked for numerous doctors in Kimball (Dr. Core). It is said that is where she met the love of her life, Jim Mader, when he came in for stitches. She married James W. Mader in 1955 and they remained married for 40 years until his death i...

    Nine women competed in the League Championship on Saturday at the Four Winds Golf Course.
