    Photographs that represent the community is what Panhandle Coop wanted for its photo contest held over the spring and summer. That is what they got. Anyone in the area was welcome to enter so long as their photos met the entry specifications. There were categories for professionals and amateurs.     Members of the Kimball High School One Act Play rehearse Monday night for their performance of Sillyheart. They will host their debut performance Thursday, Nov. 20, at the Kimball High School auditorium.     The lords and ladies of Kimball were encouraged to attend this year's America Recycles event at Mary Lynch Elementary held last Friday. The elementary school eco club, which has played a big role in recycling this past year, was rewarded by an educational celebration. Staff members from the Kimball Recycling Center collected large boxes, from appliances such as dishwashers and refrigerators, in order to create a large cardboard castle. She works for Midwest MedAir, which assists AirLink when things are busy or weather is brutal. However, due to the nature of gambling, the risk and the possibility of reward, some people become addicted. Three percent of Nebraskans have a gambling problem. Three percent may not seem like a large figure, but the actual number represented by that percentage is 56,070.     Samuel Bogert, a student at Potter-Dix Schools, was selected for the 2014 Nebraska All-State Chorus. Bogert, a Tenor II, is the son of Chris and Elizabeth Bogert of Dix. Approximately 3,000 students across the state audition for the Nebraska All-State Band, Chorus, Jazz Band and Orchestra, which are sponsored by the Nebraska Music Educators Association.     The opening weekend of the Nebraska Firearm deer season proved to be bountiful with 101 deer checked in at the Kimball check-in station located once again at Sportsman's Liquor Store. The cold weather with freezing temperatures~along with snow and blowing snow didn't seem to affect the hunting, and perhaps even improved it with the animals moving about.
