Employees of RES, who work on Kimball area windmills, recently made donations to help buy Christmas presents for local families, and RES helped the cause by matching the funds. When the Kimball County Sheriff's Office heard about what RES was doing, it sounded similar to what they were doing. The sheriff's office and RES soon partnered up and combined everything they had done. More than $1,000 was raised all together. The high winds last week not only created havoc for truckers on I-80 but also took down a landmark at the Ferguson place located 3½ miles west of Kimball. Harry Stahla (Sonny) passed away on Dec. 9, 2021, in Denver, Colorado. Harry was born in Kimball, Nebraska, on Dec. 12, 1940. Crew members from the Signs65 shop in Cheyenne, Wyo., started installing lettering Dec. 16 on the facade of the planned Kimball Ace Hardware at the old Shopko along Highway 71. St. Pats Tournament On Friday December 10th the Longhorn wrestling team traveled to North Platte St. Pats for an 8 team round robin tournament. They scored 115.0 points and tied Brady for 3rd overall. The tournament was won by Maxwell with 193 points. All 5 varsity wrestlers placed in the top 3.
