A Kimball man died Friday in an accident on I-80 west of Kimball, the Nebraska State Patrol told the Observer. At approximately 4:20 p.m. Friday, an eastbound pickup crossed the center line in a construction zone and struck a semi, NSP spokesman Cody Thomas said. The driver of the pickup, Chad Cook, 47, of Kimball was pronounced dead at the scene. The semi driver was treated for minor injuries.
