Melissa is recovering from Guillan Barre syndrome and Keith received a kidney transplant just a few weeks ago.     The Kimball City Council approved new playground equipment for Gotte Park at its monthly meeting on Oct. 17. The representative from Cummingham Recreation presented a proposal to update the Gotte Park playground equipment.     Nebraska State Patrol was called at approximately 4:10 p.m. Octt. 5 regarding a two-vehicle fatality crash at the intersection of Highway 71 and Road 42, just north of Kimball. A northbound semi tractor-trailer hauling sugar beets was attempting to turn eastbound onto Road 42. A preliminary investigation shows that as the semi slowed to make the turn, a northbound straight FedEx truck rear-ended the trailer.
