    A handful of junior high student/athletes choose to participate in two sports in the same season. Completing one sport is an accomplishment, but two.     Potter-Dix's undefeated Coyote Football team hosted the 7-and-2 Pawnee Indians for the the quarterfinals of the D6 NSAA playoffs at Combs Field in Potter Friday, and were dealt a 62-47 loss that ended their season and hopes for a D6 State Title. Although Pawnee City had a six and a half hour ride from eastern Nebraska, they brought a good-sized group of fans to cheer them on.     Here's a look back at the Fall 2022 seasons to build on for the Longhorns football, volleyball and cross country teams. Lady Longhorn volleyball coach Jeri Ferguson said if she could change anything about the season, it would be the record, 4-22. She feels they did everything right, including volleyball time over the summer, worked hard all season, and had great senior leadership.     The volleyball season ended for the Lady Longhorns on Monday in the D1-12 Subdistricts. No. 3 Kimball (3-21) battled against No. 2 Morrill (12-15). Senior middle hitter Charlotte Hargreaves had 2.2 kills per set and totaled 23 blocks. Jayden Paxton, senior outside hitter led the team with 38 serving aces.     Potter-Dix's Coyote Football team traveled to Big Springs Friday night to match up with South Platte for their final regular season game of the year, and came away with a big 81-28 win to move their record to 8-0 and lock away the D6 District 5 title.     Potter-Dix’s Lady Coyote volleyball team has had an outstanding season, and looked to finish the job and move on to State Tournament play with a victory over rival Leyton on Tuesday.
