    The Kimball Lady Longhorns volleyball season ended Monday as the team fell to Bridgeport in straight sets in subdistrict action. Kimball's season record was 3-21 heading into the C2-11 Subdistrict Tournament at Bridgeport, where the team was scheduled to face Bridgeport, the No. 1 seed.     District cross country was Thursday, Oct. 14, at Courthouse & Jail Rock Golf Course in Bridgeport, and for the fourth year in a row, Kimball Longhorns runner Chantel Malson qualified for the state cross country meet.     The Potter-Dix Lady Coyotes traveled to Minatare for the MAC Tournament on Saturday morning and were knocked out in the first round after Leyton staged a comeback to steal a win from the Potter-Dix squad. The Lady Coyotes started out strong and found a good rhythm early, scoring and placing the ball in all corners and building a lead.     Potter-Dix's Coyote football team moved its record to 7-0 against the Banner County Wildcats in Harrisburg on Friday night. The Coyotes dominated in all aspects of the game, and only a late score by Banner County prevented a shutout.     The Kimball Longhorn cross county team was in action at the Ogallala Invite on Sept. 23. In the varsity girls division, Chantel Malson competed against the Ogallala, Cozad, Gothenburg, McCook and Chadron girls. She ran in 26th place with a time of 22:44.     An excited 14-year-old Ella Kearney-Turner from Colorado rode in her first 25-mile bike race, the Antelope Stampede. Her brother finished first in the 25-mile race, and she finished just behind him on Saturday morning in Kimball.
