DOVES Program Continues

The DOVES program, which sits next to the city office, offers the emotional and mental support for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault that might not be found elsewhere, according to the coordinator for the program Vicky Isaacs.

“We’re grant funded. It’s a domestic violence/ sexual assault program. We help survivors and their families, victims. We’re here to help. We do counseling, and we help them get into a safe place if they need to. Counseling, we help provide that for them. We have grant money for that,” Isaacs said.

For those who wish to seek help but are afraid that their situation will be found out by others, Isaacs assures that all information given by those who come in for help is kept private.

The DOVES program offers support 24 hours a day in the Kimball office or the hotline 866-953-6837.
