Observations all along the line - Kimball & the Southern Panhandle First
Banner County’s David Gifford came away with another 220 title at the Mitchell Wrestling Invite on Saturday. Meanwhile Kimball’s Rowdy Keller and Garrett Ryan both placed.
“He was wrestling well,” said Wildcats’ coach Bill Gifford of his senior grappler, who improved to 29-4 on the season.
The Longhorns brought three athletes to Mitchell. Tristan Carruthers should return in time for districts, however. And with the cancellation of Kimball’s scheduled dual at Sidney, coach Wade Brashear’s squad should be prepared.
“We should wrestle alright at districts,” he said.
