Mike Daum
In the regular season finale at Mitchell, Mike Daum led the Longhorns with 23 points and 13 rebounds--another double-double--while blocking two shots. At Alliance in the subdistrict opener, Daum hauled down 9 boards and tacked on 13 points in limited playing time.
Shelby Vogel
Although Kimball suffered a loss in subdistrict play, Shelby Vogel stood strong against Chadron, the state’s number one team. She tallied a team high 10 points and grabbed 6 rebounds, second to Darbi Klinkhammer. She also added a steal.
Others Of Note
JORDON BERGER
In Kimball’s subdistrict opener, Berger was almost unstoppable. He scored 15 points in his stint on the floor. The little guard also managed to pull down 5 rebounds.
CALEB REUTER
Reuter again showed Kimball his versatility: 5 assists against Mitchell (to go along with 9 points and 5 boards), 9 points, 5 boards and a couple steals against Gordon-Rushville.
DAVID GIFFORD
The Banner County wrestler battled to the finish at state in Omaha, finishing fourth in class D at 220 pounds.
CONNER WOLFF
Wolff hammered Creek Valley in Potter-Dix’s subdistrict loss, tossing in a team high 16 points.
