Larry L. Modlin, 70, of Bushnell, died at Davis Hospice Center in Cheyenne, Wyoming, on Saturday, July 13, 2013.
Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 19, 2013 at the Cantrell Funeral Home in Kimball with Pastor Carla Gunn officiating. Inurnment will be held in the Kimball Cemetery.

Friends wishing, may stop at the funeral home on Thursday from 1:00 until 4:00 p.m. to sign the register book. Memorials have been established to Davis Hospice Center, 6000 Sycamore Street, Cheyenne, Wyoming 82009. The services for Larry have been entrusted to the Cantrell Funeral Home.
Larry Lee Modlin was born in Kimball, Nebraska on October 29, 1942, the son of Leonard and Esther (Evertson) Modlin. He was raised and attended school in Bushnell through the 10th grade. He transferred to Harrisburg and completed his high school education in Harrisburg and graduated in 1960.
Larry farmed and ranched on the family farm for many years.
He worked for the Kimball County Road Department for more than 30 years while still helping his son Randy operate the family farm near Bushnell. He was an avid pool player and enjoyed following the NBA and college level basketball.
Survivors include his son Randy (Michelle)Modlin of Bushnell, NE; daughter Teresa (Lynn) Anthony of Kimball, NE; sister Janet Mulvihill of Bushnell, NE; grandchildren Rodney Rasgorshek and friend Rhonda Merryfield, Kacey Rasgorshek and friend Craig Hoppes, Zane Anthony, Logan Modlin and Cody (Niki) Schadegg; great grandchildren Tayden Rasgorshek and Jaxton Hoppes and Maddie Merryfield.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister Delma Powell.
