Mary F. Clodfelter, 82, of Dix, died at the Golden Living Center in Scottsbluff on Thursday, December 12, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, December 16, 2013 at the Cantrell Funeral Home in Kimball with Pastor Carla Gunn officiating. Burial will be in the Dix Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 1:00 until 6:00 p.m. Friends may view the Book of Memories and leave condolences for the family at http://www.cantrellfh.com . Memorials have been established to the Dix Fire Department. The services for Mary have been entrusted to the Cantrell Funeral Home.
Mary F. Clodfelter was born in Scottsbluff on June 18, 193, the daughter of George and Sarah (Kling) Eich. She attended school in Dix. She was married to Charles Clodfelter in Gering on August 19, 1950. The family moved to Dix in 1953. Mary worked as a cook for the Dix Public Schools and as a homemaker caring for her family. They continued to live in Dix until moving to Kimball in 1991. She moved to Golden Living Center in Scottsbluff in 2002.She loved to crochet and do embroidery work and made many clothes for her granddaughters dolls. Mary enjoyed flowers, playing keno and collecting bells. Her and Charles were member of the U.P.R.R Old Timers Club and traveled to many destinations with the group. She loved spending time with her family and friends and was a wonderful grandmother.
Survivors include her daughters Barbara (Rod) Cross of Harrisburg, NE., Linda (Jim) Wheeler of Gering, NE., and Amy (Merlen) Frye of Douglas, WY; brother George Eich of Scottsbluff, NE; grandchildren Ryan (Chanen) Cross of Fernley, NE., Jeni Cross and Jessie Cross of Gering., Doug (Karen) Wheeler of Germany., Crystal (Ryan) Reisdorff of Sidney, NE., Curtis (Heather) Maxwell of Douglas, WY., and Kayla (Josh) Moore of Douglas, WY; 14 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, brothers Nick, Jim, Joe, Paul, Mike , Tony and Frankie; sister Catherine Dooley and grandson Michael Maxwell.
