Kimball With Six Qualifiers for State Track

The Kimball High Track and Field Team will be sending 6 district qualifiers to the Nebraska State Track and Field Championships being held this weekend at Omaha Burke Stadium, including 5 girls and 1 boy, all in individual events.

The triple jump proved to be the most successful event for the Longhorns at the District meet in Bayard as senior Shelby Vogel won the girls' event with an all time personal best of 33'9 1/2" to better her school record, and freshman Jaden Withrow also cranked out his all time best jump of 43'3" to win the boys' event and is now ranked #4 on the school's all time best jump list trailing only Harper High at 43'9", Jay Staehr 44'6 1/4", and Dave Wasser at 45'7". With the state meet remaining this year, and three more years ahead of him, look out record books!
