Observations all along the line - Kimball & the Southern Panhandle First
Kimball's Henry Heeg brought home yet another golf honor Tuesday evening after finishing runnerup in the Nebraska Lions Club All Class State Medalist Tournament held at the Meadow Lark Golf Course in Kearney on Monday-Tuesday. A total of 15 boys and 15 girls attended and participated in the two-day tournament with invitations extended to all of the recent Nebraska State Tournament medal winners from all classes, boys and girls.
Henry shot very well both days with rounds of 74-75=149 and finished just one stroke out of winning with a young man from South Loup shooting 148. Henry was very close to shooting below the 70s as both days he had an out of bounds and a lost ball and on Monday he actually 4 putted one green, but still shot consistent rounds of 74 and 75. I should mention that this elite tournament was for only this year's senior class players who have completed their high school golf careers. Chalk up one more outstanding golf outing for our very own Henry Heeg who will be taking his game to the college level at the end of summer.
