Potter-Dix rolled over its competition on the way to yet another district speech title last week. Potter-Dix will also send eight individual competitors and two teams to the state competition this week.
The Oral Interpretation of Drama team brought home one of two first place finishes for Potter-Dix. The team is comprised of Audrey Juelfs, Jourdan Langley, Dawson Sharman, Alaina Thies and Jamison Tvrs.
Regyn Hicks also won in Persuasive Speaking, while teammate Rebekah Hutchinson finished second.
Other top three finishes and state qualifiers for Potter-Dix include: Audrey Juelfs, second place in Humorous Interpretation of Prose Literature; Hope Shepard, third place in Serious Interpretation of Prose Literature; Levi Kasten, third place in Entertainment Speaking; Ryley Hicks, second place in Informative Public Speaking; Samuel Bogert, third place in Informative Public Speaking; and the team of Justice Palmer and Keverett Rusk, third place in Duet Acting.
Potter-Dix won with 356 overall points, while Paxton finished second with 301 points.
