Observations all along the line - Kimball & the Southern Panhandle First
Fifth grade students from Mary Lynch Elementary School ventured over to the Kimball County Manor last Wednesday (April 22) to help plant trees for Earth Day. The trees, two hackberry trees and one red oak tree, were provided by the South Platte Natural Resources District. Kimball Mayor Keith Prunty read a proclamation in honor of the day, while city council member James Schnell and Jeremy Williams, the city's parks and recreation supervisor, told the students about the trees and trees planted in Nebraska. Pictured, from left, Kaitlin Heeg, Schnell, Cortney Holt and Amy Birkhofer loosen the roots prior to planting the tree next to the manor.
