Lady Wildcats have tough week

It was a tough week for the Banner County volleyball team as the Lady Wildcats dropped four matches.

Banner opened play last Tuesday with a 2-0 loss to Hay Springs at a triangular held in Hemingford. The Lady Wildcats fell 25-12 and 25-18.

Behind the serving line, Savannah Jordan led the team with two aces and MaKenna Dahlgrin added one. Dahlgrin, Danielle Flick and Jadyn Cross had one kill each. Dahlgrin also led the team with two blocks.

The Lady Wildcats also fell to host Hemingford, 25-7 and 25-8.

Emily Singleton had a team-high two kills, while Paige Cross added one. Paige Cross and Jadyn Cross led the way with an ace each.

Defensively, Shay White, Singleton and Paige Cross had two digs each.

The Lady Wildcats also dropped two games at the Sioux County triangular held last Saturday. Banner fell 25-20 and 25-20 to host Sioux County, and dropped a 25-13 and 25-14 decision to Bayard. Statistics were not available for these two matches.
