An offensive explosion in the first quarter helped propel Garden County High School to a 70-26 victory over Potter-Dix last Friday night.
The Eagles put up 46 points in the opening 12 minutes to remain undefeated at 6-0. Potter-Dix slipped to 0-6 on the 2015 campaign.
In the opening quarter, Garden County’s Matt McCarthy scored on runs of 50 and 48 yards and teammate Elliot Epp found the end zone from 25 and 27 yards out. Epp also returned a fumble eight yards for a score. Nic Kopp, who contributed three touchdowns in the contest, scored on a 37-yard run to round out the first-period scoring....
