Observations all along the line - Kimball & the Southern Panhandle First
The Kimball 6th grade volleyball team played in a tournament Saturday in Sterling. The B team for the tournament their first game, but came back and played a really hard game and fought for their second game, but still lost, according to coach Cheryl Kirby. Members of this team include Sarinda Bateman, Grace Murdoch, Cailyn Long, Kailyn Dickinson, McKenzie Deboot, Emma Mielke and Riley Hinton.
The Kimball A team in the Sterling tournament won its first game, but then dropped its next two contests. "They really came together and played hard," said coach Cheryl Kirby. Members of this team include Emma Kirby, Payton Wise, Anissa Kizzar, Katie Heeg, Cortney Holt and Chantel Malson.
Two teams of Kimball sixth grade girls competed in a tournament in Sterling this last week. Each of the two teams won once, but ultimately were eliminated throughout the day.
