Observations all along the line - Kimball & the Southern Panhandle First
Kimball High junior, Jordan Greenwood, is the latest to score a hole-in-one at the Four Winds Golf Course, and this is nothing new to the talented young golfer who had his first hole-in-one on the opening day of the season this year!
Playing a foursome that included his dad, Kenny, Hillside Golf Pro Chuck Christiansen, and Lloyd Howard, young Jordan aced hole number three this past Sunday, Nov. 8, using a pitching wedge to carry the 133 yards needed. Not only can he savor the hole-in-one, but can also feel good about his round of 68 on the 72 par course.
Jordan might also be able to boast he scored his two hole-in-ones on the first day, and the last day, of the season, although he might get a chance to play again if the weather stays nice, and he finds the time. He will soon turn his attention to basketball as winter sports practice begins Nov. 16 for Nebraska prep athletes.
Of course Jordan can still work on his golf all winter when the opportunity presents itself as his Dad has opened an indoor golf practice facility at his home where he will give lessons as well, to anyone interested. Just get in touch with Kenny Greenwood and after a session or two you might be the next golfer to claim a hole-in-one. By the way, Greg Robinson at Larsen's Jewelry has been handing out souvenir hole-in-one trophies to all golfers who get one at the Four Winds for many years, along with having your name inscribed on plaques hanging at the Four Winds Pro Shop. Greg and I have talked and he is going to put together some information regarding how many have occurred, that we will publish in the near future.
