The Potter-Dix boys basketball team fell to Caliche (Colo.) on Friday in a 67-30 loss.
The loss drops the Coyotes to 1-4 overall, though the squad still sits at .500 among D2-11 teams at 1-1.
Outscored by nine points in the first period, the Coyotes came on strong in the second with a 16-point performance that left the score at 31-21 in favor of the Buffaloes at the half.
The Caliche defense stifled the Coyotes in the second half, allowing Potter-Dix only nine points, while going on a 36-point run to take the win.
Leading the pace for Potter-Dix was Sam Bogert; the senior scored 11 points off four buckets and three free throws. He also snagged four rebounds and a steal.
Defensively, it was a huge night for Kelsey Rozelle as the senior for Potter-Dix grabbed seven rebounds and four steals. He dished out four assists as well on the offensive side of the ball.
Connor Williams, a sophomore for the Coyotes, also penciled in seven rebounds, two assists and a steal.
Other scorers for Potter-Dix were: Edward Barnes (4), Coby Hicks (4), Noah Nelson (3), Austin Lewis (3) and Dylan Nielsen (2).
Potter-Dix will host Bayard on Jan. 8.
