Kimball students chosen for Several Kimball band and choir students were chosen to perform in the High Plains Honor Band and Choir Festival in Chadron on Sunday, Jan. 31. Participants for the two-day honor clinic were chosen based on recorded submissions and the event, hosted by Chadron State College, draws students from Nebraska, Wyoming and South Dakota. Ali Hunsaker, Raylyn Soper, Audrey Day, Taylor Muldoon, Nicholas Thomas-Lewis, Kennedy Lewis, and Kaden Adrian were all selected to the Honor Band, while Ryan Soper and Leisha Casimiro were selected to the Honor Choir. Hunsaker has been selected to the Honor Band all four years which is quite an accomplishment. The students worked with a clinician and rehearsed throughout Monday and Tuesday, then performed for a 5 p.m. concert on Tuesday, Feb. 2. "We have some very talented students at Kimball," Principal Eugene Hanks said. "They do a very good job of representing our school and community in a positive manner."
