Observations all along the line - Kimball & the Southern Panhandle First
A tough week for the Kimball High junior varsity basketball teams. The Kimball girls fell to Sutherland 41-32 and lost at North Platte St Pats 60-21.
In the Sutherland game Alexis Lulf had 9 points with a pair of treys, Hannah Biesecker 7 with 1 trey, Shauntae Daily 4, Madison Wynne 3, Lacy Klinkhammer 2, Justine Heeg 2, Sheridan Magninie 2, Kaylyn Nelson 1, and a Sutherland player 2 when she went to the wrong basket.
At St Pats Heeg had 8 with 1 trey, Daily 4, Nelson 3 with a trey, Lulf 3 with a trey, Wynne 2, and Biesecker 1.
The JV boys lost to Sutherland 50-38 with Izaak Reuter high with 12, Corey Travis 8, Brandon Barker 7, Andrew McCloud 4, Kole Bush 4, Grant Golding 2, and Ryan Soper 1.
Kimball lost 65-60 in double overtime at St Pats. A big night for Reuter with 21 points and Brandon Barker with 18. Travis had 10, McCloud 4, Colton Mielke 3, Bush 3, and Soper 1.
Kimball is entered in the Potter-Dix Freshman-Sophomore Tournament this week but winter weather played havoc with the starting night scheduled for this past Monday. It was re-scheduled to Tuesday and to wind up this evening (Thursday) pending no additional weather postponements.
