Observations all along the line - Kimball & the Southern Panhandle First
Alycia Vrbas, 12, encouraged by longtime photographer Kim Sharples, joined the Cheyenne Camera Club and entered a photograph, “Spring Colors,” in the Cheyenne Artists Guild (CAG) show recently.
The youngster received first place in the 55th Annual CAG Easter Art Show in Cheyenne, Wyo., which was not broken down into professional or amateur categories nor into age groups.
Young Alycia’s family also joined in on the fun, with family members Farris Vrbas, Lucas Vrbas and Dakota Vrbas also entered artwork in the show.
As a mentor of sorts, Sharples said she was very proud of Vrbas, as her own work “Tree of Life” received third place honors and her artwork “Glorius” won first.
The 55th Annual Easter Art Show at the Cheyenne Artists Guild is open to the public and will hang the entire month of March with a reception on Easter Sunday from 12-3 p.m. The show is sponsored by Warren Federal Credit Union and Cheyenne State Bank.
