Yard of the Week: LaVeta Beyke
A glorious pop of color takes the place of grass as vibrant perennials bloom between walkways and provide a cheery welcome to LaVeta Beyke's home.
Showy Asian Lilies standing tall in a sea of bright zinnias provide a colorful foreground and rose bushes bloom amidst wild lavender and blue thistle.
A grapevine arches over the main entrance. Yarrow and coneflower attract honey bees and the rich, colorful garden invites hummingbirds to come play. These are but a few of the reasons Beyke's yard was nominated for The Pride of Kimball's Yard of the Week.
