Theater facelift continues

The Goodhand Theater received a bit of a facelift this past week, as work continues to ready the building for business.

The repainted marquee and signs were rehung following a true team effort, according to Kimball Mayor Keith Prunty.

Prunty credited Sonny and Zach Porter of AutoLok for the prep work on the marquee, Greg McDaniel, owner of Kim-Bowl, purchased the primer and paint and Scott Sterling of Hastings Ford and Kent Holub from Team Chevrolet had the signs repainted.

In addition to a new coat of paint, the marquee and signs have new LED lighting installed. The lighting is a flexible red tube that looks like the original neon, but should last a very long time, Prunty said.

Once the signs were returned to the theater in Kimball, much help was given to place them once again, and Prunty said that he hopes to have the signs ready to light up by Farmer's Day, this weekend, Sept. 24.
