Observations all along the line - Kimball & the Southern Panhandle First
With nine tournaments completed the Kimball Girl's Golf team has had a positive improvement year. At the start of the year, Lila Moore was getting back into the swing of things but struggling a little from little practice over the summer.
Moore began her season shooting a 154. As the practices and tournaments progressed, she quickly improved and showed a very positive attitude. Moore ended regular season having a personal best of 114.
Moore received one medal for 10th place this year at the WTC tournament, held at her home course. "Overall, Lila has done a tremendous job of representing Kimball Girl's Golf and we are excited to be heading to district in Ogalalla, on October 3," coach Katie Culek said.
Leisha Casmiro began the season a little late, as she decided to join golf a week after it started. Casimiro came into the season knowing very little about golf and she was very hesitant when she started, according to Culek, but she quickly grasped the concept and started competing in the second meet.
"Leisha has shown a mass improvement," Culek said. "She has gained a tremendous amount of confidence and we are very excited to see what next season has in store for her."
