Observations all along the line - Kimball & the Southern Panhandle First
The 2016 Farmer's Day Demolition Derby was, once again, a huge success according to event organizers Mark Vowers and Doug Lukassen, who expected nearly 30 entries.
Two winners, from a field of 22 entries, were chosen in the compact class and the weld class, while three drivers placed in the no weld class.
"I would really just like to thank all the spectators, our attendance at the demo derby is always great," Lukassen said.
The top two places took home the money, with the runner-up receiving $250 and the winner of each class taking home $750.
First place in the compact division was awarded to Tristan Hinrich with Jake Shaw taking second place.
Brandon Gasseling was awarded first in the weld class followed by Dayson Contratto.
First place in the no-weld class was awarded to Jeff Miller, shown left, with Jack Gillette taking second and Jeff Paxton, third.
