Zoa "Toe" A. McCloud, 76 of Gering, passed away at home with her family at her side on Friday, October 14, 2016.
Her funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 18 at 10:00 a.m. at Dugan Kramer Funeral Chapel with Pastor Lyle Hinebauch officiating. Burial will follow at West Lawn Cemetery in Gering. Visitation will be Monday from 1-7 p.m. at the chapel. Friends and family are invited to have lunch together at the Eagles Lodge in Terrytown following the graveside service. Zoa "Toe" Agnes was born June 17, 1940 in Gettysburg, SD to Fred and Zoa (Mahoney) Gross. She attended school in Lebanon, South Dakota. On May 16, 1956, Zoa married Jerry James McCloud in Sturgis, SD. Zoa gave birth to six sons and three daughters.
Zoa spent her life serving others, waitressing and babysitting her grandbabies and great grandbabies while spoiling them every minute. Zoa was a member of the Eagles Club, VFW and Legion Auxiliaries.
The last four months of her life have been spent at home with her family and Hospice care.
Survivors include her children Dennis (Jeanie) McCloud of Newman Grove, NE, Tina (John) Vance of Gering, Terry McCloud of Gering, Dewey McCloud of Kimball, Jerry (Cheridith) McCloud of Tekamah, Greg (Pam) McCloud of Columbus, and Kim Fletcher of Gering; 26 grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren.
Zoa was preceded in death by her husband Jerry James McCloud, parents Fred and Zoa Gross, son Edward James McCloud, daughter and son-in-law Shirley Jean and Mike Jurgens, grandson Austin McCloud, great grandson Cameron Stoner, brothers Gail and Sonny Gross, sisters Alice Henniger, Lois Dobbs and Betty Whisenant.
