Idrys Marie Davis of Tahoka passed away on Thursday, November 17, 2016 at the age of 96. She was born December 24, 1919 in Cozad, NE to George and Margaret (Jackson) Pile. She married Oliver Jackson Davis on August 21, 1949 in Kimball, NE. She was a member of Shiloh Primitive Baptist Church of Kimball, NE.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Marcella Scholl (Dwight) of Garden City, KS and Sandra Laws (Terry) of Grassland; daughter-in-law, Carol Drake (Aaron) of Naponee, NE; step daughter-in-law, Cheryl Blake of Shawnee Mission, KS; brother, Walter Pile (LetaFern); sister, Dorothy Huffman; eight grandchildren, Yolanda (Michael) Lawrence, Kevin (Jessica) Scholl, Clayton (Kary) Laws, Jeremy (Kriston) Laws, Amy Rock, Molly (Dan) Bartels, Jessica Layton, Aaron J. (Katie) Davis; thirteen great-grandchildren; five-step grandchildren and eight-step great-grandchildren;
Idrys was preceded in death by her husband, Oliver; son, Clayton Davis; step-son, Michael Blake; three sisters; one brother; one step-granddaughter and three step great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held1:00 - 6:00 p.m. Sunday, November 20, 2016 with family receiving friends from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. at Combest Family Funeral Homes, Tahoka. Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 21, 2016 at the Nazarene Church, Grassland, TX.
