Lowell D. "Elvis" Baldwin, 81, of Ft. Lupton, passed away December 9, 2016. He was born July 22, 1935 in Greeley, CO to Melvin and Elsie (Dilly) Baldwin. He attended schools in Kansas and Greeley. After high school, Elvis joined the US Army and later married Caroline Pence on May 4, 1957 in Sidney, NE.
Elvis has lived in the Ft. Lupton area since 1976 where he owned and operated Baldwin Pump & Supply in Ft. Lupton for many years and was well respected in the Oilfield industry. In his spare time, he enjoyed drag racing and working on his cars. He also enjoyed fishing trips to Lake McConaughy where he owned a second home. Traveling and fishing were his hobbies. Elvis loved traveling and making trips to Canada, California and Mexico to fish. He was a 'family man' who loved family gatherings for fish fry's and BBQ's.
Elvis is survived by his wife, Carol of Ft. Lupton; children, Deanna (Jim) Reynolds of Farmington, NM, Richard (Debbie) Baldwin of Aztec, NM, Lori (Jeff) Giacomino of Brighton, Terry Baldwin of Florida; two sisters, Jean Ford of Greeley, Marge Copeland of Greeley; two brothers, Wayne Baldwin and Rod Baldwin both of Kimball; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin & Elsie Baldwin; brother, Leon and granddaughter, Ashley Reynolds.
The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at 11:30am, with visitation one hour prior at Tabor-Rice Funeral Home in Brighton. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery.
