Larry G. Petersen

Larry G. Petersen, 65, of Sidney and formerly of Kimball, died at Sidney Regional Medical Center on Thursday, April 6, 2017. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at the Cantrell Funeral Home in Kimball with Pastor Alan Foutz officiating. Burial will be in the Kimball Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 1:00 until 6:00 p.m. Visit http://www.cantrellfh.com to view Larry's Tribute Wall and leave condolences for the family. Memorials have been established to the family. The services for Larry have been entrusted to the Cantrell Funeral Home.

Larry Gene Petersen was born on August 24, 1951, the son of Harry and Fern (Mitchell) Petersen. He was raised and attended school in Kimball. He lived in Kimball and worked for various companies as a rig foreman, pumper and roustabout his entire working life. He also worked with his brother Bob and brother-in-law Jim Miller. He loved to go shopping and taking road trips. He loved his family and spending time supporting them in the activities that they were involved in. He loved his pets, especially his dogs Misty and Sheeba.

Survivors include his daughters Victoria Petersen and fiancé' Bill Leach of Sidney, NE., Amanda (Albert) Hargreaves of Kimball, NE., and Lori Howard of Kimball, NE; brother Robert (Twyla) Petersen of Craig, CO; sisters Harriet (Richard) Ferrero of Brighton, CO., and Carol (Jim) Miller of Kimball, NE; 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister Charlene Taylor.
