Fourth grade students from Kimball's Mary Lynch Elementary planted trees at Gotte Park on Monday, May 1 to celebrate Arbor Day. Students were split into three groups and they helped dig the holes, plant the trees and water them carefully. Two American Elm trees were chosen, along with one Hackberry tree, for the group project. Assisting with the tree planting was Kimball Mayor Keith Prunty, City of Kimball personnel Amy Sapp, Jim Shoup, John Heidemann (not shown) and Dan Dean (not shown).
