Steve "Pinky" Pinkerton took first place in the ribs category and second in brisket at the 15th Annual Ribs & More Cookoff. Steve was also named best overall based on an accumulation of points. He was given the coveted traveling trophy for a second year in a row. According to event organizer, Jowain Sherman, if a contestant wins the traveling trophy three years in a row, that winner gets to keep it. This has not yet happened in the 15 years of events, Sherman said. Here, Sherman, right, awards Pinkerton, left, the grand prize for his valiant efforts (and delicious results), a Traeger smoker.
