Observations all along the line - Kimball & the Southern Panhandle First
Several local pool players were recently recognized for winning the Spring Session of the American Poolplayers Association (APA) 8-Ball and 9-Ball Pool Leagues.
Winning the Wednesday 8-Ball title was Troubleshooters from Kim Bowl in Kimball including (photo below, l to r) Crystal Ramsey, John Aguiniga, Brandy Ramsey, Roger Krafczik, Terri Broussard, Seth Krafczik and Sherri Parshall. Not shown is Greg McDaniel.
MVP awards went to Jake Rohde, Stephanie Risk-McElroy and Seth Krafczik.
Krafczik from Kimball was also presented the Top Gun award as the region's top male player in 8-Ball.
The Monday 9-Ball League was won by Pool Monkeys from Kim Bowl in Kimball including (photo above, l to r) Margaret Rutherford, Telly Snell and Curtis Wisely Jr. Not shown are Shannon Barnes, Shalane White, Rebecca Brown and Bill Daugherty.
MVP awards went to Darin Lukassen, Robie Dunkin and Curtis Wisely Jr.
Winning teams each session advance to the Western Nebraska APA World Qualifiers to compete for trips to the APA World Pool Championships in Las Vegas.
A new session of the APA Pool League starts in September. Teams have until Monday, Aug. 28, to register.
